Is RMT massage covered by extended health if I live in Victoria?

Yes. Extended health coverage for registered massage therapy applies to your plan regardless of your address or which clinic you attend. We direct-bill most major BC plans. The number of covered treatments per year is set by your plan, not your location.

 

Is it worth driving from Victoria to Saanichton for massage?

It depends what you're looking for. If you want a basic relaxation massage, there are studios in Victoria. If you want an RMT who works inside a full multi-disciplinary clinic — where your massage therapist can co-ordinate directly with a chiropractor or acupuncturist on the same day — that's harder to find anywhere in the Victoria area. Many of our Victoria massage patients initially came for chiropractic and added massage because of how well the two modalities work together here.

 

Can I see both a chiropractor and an RMT in the same visit?

Yes. We frequently schedule back-to-back chiropractic and massage appointments — many patients find this more effective than either treatment alone. Book both when you call or book online.

 

Do you offer prenatal massage for Victoria-area patients?

Yes. Several of our RMTs are trained in prenatal massage technique and regularly see expectant mothers from Victoria and the surrounding area. We have appropriate positioning equipment and modify pressure and technique for each trimester.
