Elaine Gammon
Registered Acupuncturist
Elaine has been in the medical field for over 25 years practising as a cytotechnologist in the medical laboratory. She has transitioned to the field of acupuncture in search of a more holistic approach to healthcare – one that encompasses treating the physical as well as the emotional aspects of illness.
Elaine studied Traditional Chinese Medicine through Dr. Yin at Oshio College of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine and she continues to supplement her education by studying the role of fascial planes through courses taught by James Spears as well as incorporating Dr. Tan's Balance Method.
Acupuncture addresses the immediate and underlying issues that lead to pain and illness. It can guide the body back to homeostasis and harmony. Digestion, women's health, stress and anxiety, insomnia and pain management are just a few of the health concerns that Elaine can attend to.
When not in clinic, Elaine enjoys hiking, gardening and reading. She is a lifelong learner and has taken a number of introductory classes including archery, bookbinding, glassblowing and karate. Her latest curiosities include Tai Chi and flamenco dance.
